Reflecting on sundials, time, repetition, and where we as people stand within that. I believe it would work best in a sunny spot, where it’s able to throw out it’s single shadow and watch you go about your day. I

Hand-built sculpture, made from black groggy clay to create an organic earthy sculpture. Leading from the head down the body I’ve used my thumbs to mould the clay, leaving my imprints natural and untouched.

The base of the tile is cedar wood, finished using a Shou Sugi Ban Japanese wood burning method that preserves the wood using fire. It has been sealed in boiled linseed oil.
